What the record shows
The Province's Greenbelt map series names the Municipality of Clarington on four Protected Countryside sheets, one of them shared with Oshawa, Scugog and Whitby, and on Urban River Valley sheets for Graham, Wilmot, Soper, Bowmanville, Farewell, Harmony and Oshawa creeks, where the Province notes the Greenbelt Plan's policies apply only to publicly owned land. Additions in 2022 took in Darlington Provincial Park, the Westside Marsh area and more wetlands along Wilmot Creek. In 2017 land in Bowmanville near Nash Road and Regional Road 57 was removed from the Protected Countryside; land at the northeast corner of Nash Road and Hancock Road, removed in 2022, was returned on December 6, 2023, with all of that year's removals.
The Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan's sectional Map 7 is the Municipality of Clarington's, and the moraine's boundary sheets 8, 10 and 12 list Clarington. Zoning By-law 2005-109 covers the Municipality's moraine lands and Zoning By-law 84-63 the lands between Lake Ontario and the moraine; in the Protected Countryside, 84-63 permits additional dwelling units only in single detached dwellings or accessory buildings that existed on July 1, 2017. A result from the provincial layers says whether an address falls inside a mapped area and which designation; it is a planning boundary, not a statement about what a particular lot may be used for.

What OfferDue covers in Clarington
The Greenbelt, Moraine and Escarpment check runs for any Ontario address, in the free check and in the full report, from the Province's layers, and names the designation where one applies. It reads the mapped boundaries; it is not a reading of the Municipality's Official Plan or zoning for a lot.
