What the record shows
By-law 2026-0041 levies the Town, Region of Halton and school board rates for 2026 and says separate rates are needed for the urban area (including the hamlets of Norval, Stewarttown and Glen Williams) and the rural area; the rates themselves are in schedules attached to the by-law, and the final bill is due in two instalments, June 30 and September 29, 2026. The Region's By-law 20-26 sets its 2026 residential rate for general purposes and police at 0.331302% for Halton Hills, plus an enhanced waste management rate of 0.003886% in the urban area, and the education rate is prescribed by regulation under the Education Act. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by the total rate.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the Town.

What OfferDue covers in Halton Hills
Property tax rate reads our hand-kept table of municipal rates, which doesn't yet carry Halton Hills' urban and rural rates, so for now the Town's by-law schedules are the place to read them; the full report adds water and sewer rates. A published rate is not a tax certificate, an arrears search or the bill for a particular home.
Public-record information, not legal, financial, insurance or inspection advice. Records change and can be incomplete, and this page describes the records, not any particular home. What we cover, city by city.
