What the record shows
The City's table for 2026 lists a residential City rate of 1.670293% and a school rate of 0.153000%, set by the Province, a total of 1.823293%, up 6.07% from 1.721975% in 2025. The table has no county or regional rate. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the City.
