What the record shows

Two sets of provincial maps cover Vaughan. The Greenbelt map series names Vaughan on Protected Countryside sheet 24, shared with Brampton, Caledon and King, and on Urban River Valley sheets 17, 18, 20 to 22, 25 and 26, some of them shared with Toronto, Markham and Richmond Hill. The Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan's sectional Map 3 covers Aurora, Newmarket, Richmond Hill and Vaughan, and boundary sheet 6 lists Vaughan among its municipalities.

The Province's maps also record land in Vaughan removed from the Protected Countryside in 2017, on three sheets (near Teston Road and Jane Street, Kirby Road and Highway 27, and Highway 27 and Nashville Road), and in 2022, north and east of Teston Road and Pine Valley Drive; the Province's page says all the 2022 removals were returned to the Greenbelt by changes to the Greenbelt Act, 2005 on 6 December 2023. A result from the provincial layers says whether an address falls inside a mapped area and which designation; it is a planning boundary, not a statement about what a particular lot may be used for.

What OfferDue covers in Vaughan

The Greenbelt, Moraine and Escarpment check runs for any Ontario address, in the free check and in the full report, from the Province's layers, and names the designation where one applies. It reads the mapped boundaries; it is not a reading of the City's Official Plan or zoning for a lot.
