What the record shows
The City's table writes the rates as decimals. For residential property (class RT) in 2026 it shows 0.00411164 for the City, 0.00841834 for the Region of Waterloo and 0.00153000 for education, a total of 0.01405998, or 1.405998% of assessed value. The Region's part is the largest of the three.
The bill multiplies the home's assessed value by that total. An asking price is not an assessed value, and the class matters: the same table puts multi-residential property at 0.02596346. The table's Downtown and Belmont business improvement area levies appear only against commercial and industrial classes.
