What the record shows
Two sets of provincial maps cover Markham. The Greenbelt map series names Markham on Protected Countryside sheets 15, 16 and 19, shared with Pickering, Toronto, Ajax, Richmond Hill and Whitchurch-Stouffville, and on Urban River Valley sheets 13 to 18. The Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan's sectional Map 4 covers East Gwillimbury, Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville, and boundary sheets 6 and 9 list Markham among their municipalities.
The Province's maps also record land in Markham removed from the Protected Countryside in 2017, on three sheets, and in 2022, on three more (land on 19th Avenue, on Kennedy Road and on Highway 48); the Province's page says all the 2022 removals were returned to the Greenbelt by changes to the Greenbelt Act, 2005 on 6 December 2023. A result from the provincial layers says whether an address falls inside a mapped area and which designation; it is a planning boundary, not a statement about what a particular lot may be used for.

What OfferDue covers in Markham
The Greenbelt, Moraine and Escarpment check runs for any Ontario address, in the free check and in the full report, from the Province's layers, and names the designation where one applies. It reads the mapped boundaries; it is not a reading of the City's Official Plan or zoning for a lot.
