What the record shows
By-law 0061-2026 sets the 2026 residential rate at 0.396141% for the City, 0.538760% for the Region of Peel and 0.153000% for education, set by the Province, a total of 1.087901% of the current value assessment. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the City.
