What the record shows
For 2026 the City's table lists a residential rate of 1.7362540% municipal and 0.1530000% education, set by the Province, a total of 1.8892540%. The City's page says taxes are worked out by multiplying the property's current value assessment by the combined municipal and education rates; the 2026 final bills were due on 31 July and 30 September 2026.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the City.
