What the record is
Two layers are read: watercourses (streams, creeks and rivers, including ones that run in culverts under streets) and waterbodies (lakes, ponds, reservoirs and stormwater ponds). Both carry the feature's name where the Province records one.
The report line gives the name and distance of the nearest of each. A creek close to a lot is also the usual reason a conservation authority regulates it, which is why this check sits with the regulated-area entry under the order form's "Creek or wetland area" dealbreaker.
