Licences and registers to check

Ontario has no licence or public register for this work that we know of. People commonly ask for references, proof of liability insurance and, where the business has workers, a WSIB clearance.

Questions people ask before hiring

  • What does the report cover, and what does it leave out?
  • Which certification do you hold, and where can it be checked?
  • When does the written report arrive?
  • Is the report addressed to me, and may I share it?
