What the record shows
For 2026 the Town's schedule lists a residential rate of 0.328541% for the Town, 0.392412% for the Region of York and 0.153000% for education, a total of 0.873953%; the schedule writes them as decimals of assessed value (0.00873953 in all). The Town's page says the final bill, issued in June or July, applies the tax rates to the assessed value, less the interim billing amount.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the Town.
