What the record shows
The Province's Protected Countryside boundary sheets 13, 14, 17, 18 and 20 name the Town of Georgina; none of the Oak Ridges Moraine plan's sectional land use maps or boundary sheets lists it. The Town's Official Plan names the Greenbelt Plan, 2005 and the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, 2009 among the provincial documents that guided it, and it refers to the Greenbelt Plan in its policies, among them its rules for new mineral aggregate operations in significant woodlands and the river valleys the Greenbelt Plan identifies as external connections, shown on the Plan's natural heritage and hydrologic schedules.
A result from the provincial layers says whether an address falls inside a mapped area and which designation; it is a planning boundary, not a statement about what a particular lot may be used for. The Town's Official Plan schedules and its zoning by-laws are the places to read the local designation and zone.
