What the record shows

For 2026 the by-law's schedule lists a residential rate of 0.370597% for the Township, 0.392412% for the Region of York and 0.153000% for education, set by the Province, a total of 0.916009%; the schedule prints them as decimals, 0.009160087 in all. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate. The by-law also lets the Treasurer add other charges to the tax roll, among them Holland Marsh maintenance, tile drain loans and the King City and Nobleton sewer debenture charges.

An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the Township.
