What the record shows
The Ontario Railway Network maps tracks, crossings, junctions and stations, which in King means the rail line through King City, where the Township's Official Plan places the King City GO Station. The Utility Line dataset maps lines that carry power, water, communications and heating fuel: hydro corridors, natural gas and water pipelines, and lines of unknown type. The feature type matters, because not every mapped line is a gas pipeline.
The Official Plan asks, for proposed sensitive uses near rail facilities, generally for a vibration study within 75 metres of a railway right-of-way and a noise study within 300 metres of a rail line. Both provincial layers are mapping records, not a locate of buried services and not a statement about noise, vibration or a building setback for a particular lot. The Utility Line dataset's records date from 1977 to 2008, so a blank map is not proof that no line exists.
