What the record shows
For 2026 the City's table lists a residential rate of 1.657363% for the City, set by By-law 2026-20 on 19 May 2026, and 0.153000% for education, set by the Province, a total of 1.810363%. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the City.
