What the record shows
For 2026 the Town's summary lists a residential rate of 0.364585% for the Town, 0.333375% for the Region of Halton (0.020549% waste management, 0.138835% police services and 0.173991% general) and 0.153000% for education, set by the Province, a total of 0.850960%. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate.
Since 2026 the bill also carries a separate stormwater fee under Special Charges, phased in at half the full amount this year: $137 for a detached home, $64 for a semi-detached home and $30 for a townhouse, condo or apartment. An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the Town.
