What the record shows

Ottawa's property-tax tools include an assessment look-up and a tax estimator. The City's 2026 final tax notice says the bill rests on the home's assessed value from MPAC, the municipal tax rates set by Council and the education rates set by the Province. Final bills went out in May and were due 18 June 2026.

An asking price is not an assessed value, and an estimate is not a bill. The services an area receives change the rate, so no single rate fits every Ottawa home.
