What the record shows

For 2026 the City lists a residential City tax rate of 0.605295%, an education rate of 0.153000% set by the Province, and a City Building Fund rate of 0.009016%, a total of 0.767311%. The bill multiplies the home's phased-in assessed value from MPAC by those rates; the City's worked example puts a $692,140 assessment at about $5,311.

An asking price is not an assessed value, and an estimate is not a bill. The City's calculator gives an estimate from an assessed value; the actual bill for a home sits with its current owner and the City.
