Is the street scheduled for widening?
An Official Plan sets a planned right-of-way width for major streets, and when a lot is redeveloped the City may take the strip needed to reach it. Toronto's Map 3 and Ottawa's Schedule C16 are the records; neither is published as open data, so the check points to them.
Report check: Road widening. Entry reviewed 20 Oct 2026; each source below shows its own data date.

What the record is
A planned width larger than the street's current width means a future widening is protected, usually taken a lot at a time as properties are rebuilt, not as one project. The schedule is a map in the Official Plan.
Our reports don't read these schedules. The report still lists the check, and its line links the City's schedule where one is published as a page (Toronto's Map 3, Ottawa's Schedule C16) or the municipality's site otherwise.
Where it runs
Planned road widenings are set by the right-of-way schedule in the Official Plan, which isn't published as open data we can use. The municipality's Official Plan shows the planned width of this street, if it has one.

Look it up for one address
No record we may copy answers this check, so neither the free check nor the full report reads it. The full report still lists it, with the line above: where to look for that address.
