What the record shows
For 2026 the Town's schedule lists residential rates of 0.325501% for Town purposes, 0.137753% for the capital levy, 0.170593% for police, 0.321233% for County of Simcoe purposes and 0.153000% for education, set by the Province: a total of 1.108080% (the schedule prints it as 0.01108080). The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate; the Town's page says the interim bill is based on no more than half of the previous year's annualized taxes.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the Town.
