What the record is

The fire disturbance layer is the Province's record of burned areas, kept by the ministry responsible for forest fire management. It covers fires large enough to map; most of them are in the north, and most southern addresses have none nearby.

The report line gives the nearest mapped fire with its year and distance, or says none lies within 50 km.
