Is there an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest nearby?
An Area of Natural and Scientific Interest is land the Province has identified for its natural features (life science) or its geology (earth science). The Province publishes their boundaries, last validated in 2015, and the check looks for one within 500 m of the address.
Report check: Natural areas (ANSI). Entry reviewed 20 Oct 2026; each source below shows its own data date.

What the record is
ANSIs are not parks: most are private land, and the designation works through planning policy rather than ownership. Provincially significant ANSIs carry stronger protection in the Provincial Planning Statement.
The report line says whether an ANSI lies within 500 m and, when one does, gives its name, type and significance.
