What the record shows
For 2026 the Town's By-law 029-26 lists residential rates of 0.430394% for the Town's general levy, 0.173963% for its police levy and 0.161038% for its capital levy, 0.321233% for County of Simcoe purposes under the County's By-law 7172-26, and 0.153000% for education, set by the Province: a total of 1.239628%, the figure on the Town's property taxes page. The bill multiplies the home's assessed value from MPAC by that rate.
An asking price is not an assessed value, and a rate is not a bill. The actual bill for a home, and any amount owing on it, sit with its current owner and the Town.
